ABOUT
M. Cihan Poçan (b. 1983) is an Istanbul based artist working across photography, computational imaging, and technical image systems. He studied Photography and Video at Bahçeşehir University. Alongside his artistic practice, he works professionally in architectural photography and computer-aided visualization.
His work has been exhibited in Turkey and internationally, including 44A Art Gallery and Antrepo No:5 in Istanbul, Münchner Künstlerhaus in Munich, and exhibitions in Riga and Ludza, Latvia. He was nominated for the Goldener Kentaur Award, Yound Starts Photography Award and participated in Peter Bialobrzeski’s ISSP masterclass A Sense of Place.
His recent practice focuses on landscape, geospatial media, architectural space and the politics of technical images, bringing photographic, scientific, and computational forms of representation into dialogue.
